Hello!

I’m Joe Armer and I’m your Student Union President for the upcoming year. I’m currently studying my A2s and I was elected to represent all students in York College from April 2011.

As President, I really want to see The Student Union getting up and around College. We typically wear our Student Union hoodies around College with the name of roles on the back of the hoodie. We’re also around College with our Meet the exec stalls where you can come talk to us, ask any questions and find out more about what we can do for you as a Student of York College.

Update

It is the end of term but the Student’s Union is a flurry of activity in the next couple of weeks we’re hosting the Higher Education Leavers ball on the 4th July next week. We’re also holding Final Fling , a tropical themed end of year celebration in a very summery Lounge on 1 on the 7th and 8th July. It promises to be good fun and there’s lots of prizes to be won!

We’re also gearing up for the Freshers Fair in September to help give a taste of what the Union does and College life in general. It’ll also be an opportunity for you to get your new NUS extra card. If you’re coming back next year and fancy helping out: we’re looking for Freshers Reps who can help around the College in the first 3 weeks of College and help the Executive Committee run Freshers!
