Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)

• Weekly payment to help cover the cost of travel to college, course books, and any equipment you need
• Money is paid directly into your bank account
• EMA payment is based on your behaviour and participation on your course

Adult Learner Grant (ALG)

• The grant pays up to £30 a week, depending on your circumstances
• You may be eligible if you are 19 years or older
• Studying for your first full level 2 or 3 qualification
• Earning less than a certain amount per tax year
• All classes must be attended

Discretionary Learner Support

• This support is for students having trouble meeting the financial requirements of college
• This is granted in certain circumstances, and can help with the cost of travel, childcare, tuition fees etc…
• You must apply early if you think you will need this type of help

Care to Learn Grants

• Funding is available to students under 20 years old when they start their course.
• Payments are made directly to the registered childcare provider
• This funding is available for both part time and full time students

Army Bursary Scheme

• Available to students on almost any level 2 and level 3 vocational courses
• Bursary applicants are students who want to join the army but only when they finish college
