Statement regarding Industrial Action 30th November
York College Students’ Union support the sentiments behind the Industrial Action on the 30th November as poor pensions would undermine staff morale in the College and discourage high quality staff from remaining in or joining the Educational profession, furthermore impacting on teaching and learning and the best student experience within the College.
This unfair Pensions deal also discourages our students from joining public sector professions, something which we believe would be detrimental for hundreds of aspiring doctors, nurses, teachers and other public sector workers in the College.

HIGHER EDUCATION LEAVERS…
We’re holding an event for all Higher Education Students at the Royal York Hotel, starting at 7.30pm.
The event is FREE! Just bring your ID card, Guests are welcome too!
The entertainment is included and will consist of a DJ and a Comedian.
We would like this to be the first of many events provided for HE students
by the Students’ Union so please come along!

well just to tell you all that this week is chinese new year 2011 and as a college we are celebriting in style with loads of things happening around the college inculding lion dancing ( a traditional chinese dance) and lots of other stuff so keep your eyes opened to whats going to be happening. also lgbt history week is happening soon so keep your eyes open to whats going to be happening around hear
